The Certified Institute of Professionals provides a structured framework for recognising individuals based on their qualifications and professional experience.

Membership is granted across progressive grades, allowing individuals to present their background in a clear, standardised format.

Who is a Certified Professional?

A Certified Professional is an individual recognised by the Institute based on submitted qualifications and/or professional experience, aligned with defined membership criteria.1

Progressive grades are available based on your education and experience. Applicants without formal qualifications may still be eligible based on professional experience.

Have a Certificate + 2 years' experience

Have a Diploma + 3 years' experience

Use of professional designations

Members may use Institute-issued post-nominal letters to indicate their membership grade. Examples: MCIP (Industrial Engineering) or FMCIP (Accounting).

Use of designations is subject to approval and ongoing compliance with Institute guidelines.2

Application

A straightforward process.

  3. (3)Application is reviewed against membership criteria
  4. (4)Outcome is issued and, if successful, membership is activated

The process is administrative and does not include examinations or competency testing.5

Fees & processing
  • ยทA non-refundable application handling fee of $25 USD applies
  • ยทMembership certificates are typically issued within 10โ€“12 working days
  • ยทApproved members may begin using their designation upon confirmation
